For centuries followers of Jesus have used Palm Crosses as a symbol of following him along the road of discipleship. It takes us on his journey from his triumphal entry to Jerusalem, through the washing of his disciples’ feet, taking bread and wine and asking them to remember him, to his prayer in the garden, betrayal, mock trial, crucifixion, death, burial and glorious resurrection on Easter morning.
You are warmly invited to go to the front porch of St Francis Church to pick up a Palm Cross for yourself or another who might want it in the current crisis. If you are a member of Hope Church you can also pick one up from Will and Sophie.
The short video is when I said a prayer over our Palm Crosses and a blessing for us all through Holy Week.
