This is our slightly more traditional Sunday service following a leaflet of written prayers although it is still relaxed (the clergy do not wear robes) and you can be sure of a very warm and friendly welcome. We follow the same Bible teaching themes and series as our 11.00am service. Most weeks we share bread and wine at the Lord’s table although on 3rd Sunday in the month we share in a service of morning worship with a special focus for prayer. The music is a mixture of traditional hymns and more modern songs. Coffee and chat follows in the Chapter Room. Around 60-70 adults attend this service.
In this time of contemporary worship we celebrate the love of God with modern songs and heartfelt worship led by our worship band. Bible teaching aims to draw us close to Jesus and help us relate the Bible’s teaching to our everyday lives. Informal Communion is included on the 4th Sunday of the month. Prayer ministry is available both during and after the service from our trained team (wearing badges) .
Within the body of the church there is a children’s area where parents can sit with their under 3s with a small table and chairs plus books and toys. The service is also shown on a big screen, with audio feed, in an adjacent crèche room where there are toys and book. You can stay with your child or leave them with the crèche helpers.
Children aged 3-10 go out after the first ten minutes to Ignite Groups giving age related teaching, activities and fun. Fuse Am caters for young people of 11-14 in the Youth Lounge where they eat toast, laugh, and chat through how faith might connect with their everyday lives.
After the service we enjoy coffee and chat together at the back of the Church and the children return to join us. Around 100-120 adults and 60 children and young people attend this service.
